Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains some spoilers for this film!
Synopsis: Harry Flowers (Jeff Bridges) is considered a loser by his boss and his wife Sarah (Belinda Bauer), the boss’ daughter, so he sets out to change his personality and his life.
Featured Feline: Sarah owns a beautiful cat named Jebbs whom she “chats” with. The first time we see Jebbs he is in bed with Sarah as she reads him The Owl and the Pussycat.
Harry’s alter ego Mack enters and hovers over the bed.
The next morning Mack insists Sarah cook breakfast for him. She prepares breakfast while holding Jebb, then sits down at the table with the cat.
Mack asks why they are eating with the cat while Sarah pours some cream for Jebbs. She explains that she always has breakfast with Jebbs and that they “chat”.
Mack is unimpressed and throws the creamer across the kitchen.
After this Jebbs is only seen with the sulking Sarah a couple of times.
Final Mewsings: Cats prefer having breakfast with people with manners.
Many thanks to Nick Wale for letting us know about the cat in this film!
