This review contains a Kitty Carnage Warning!
Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains some spoilers for this film!
Synopsis: A boy named Billy (Ben Buckton) fights back when he realizes a local pond has been contaminated with chemicals dumped there by a company.
Cat Burglar (Scene Stealer): Billy and his friend Gobby (Andrew Ashby) find a dead fish while fishing in the pond. Billy decides to take it home to find out what killed it. At home the family cat, an adorable young orange and white tabby, spots the fish in Billy’s bag.
When the family sits down to dinner, the cat grabs the fish from the bag and runs outside with it (actually when the cat runs outside it doesn’t have anything in its mouth, but you can only see this in slow motion).
Kitty Carnage Warning! Later Billy and Gobby are playing soccer outside when they find the cat lying sick nearby.
Billy picks up the cat which is completely limp. It is very likely the cat was drugged for this scene.
They take the kitty to a vet where his stomach is pumped. The veterinarian tells them the cat will be okay and that it was chemicals which made him sick.
Final Mewsings: It’s ironic to drug a cat with chemicals for a show that is against chemicals in nature.
Many thanks to Mark Murton for letting us know about the cat in this film.
