Synopsis: Dominic McKenna (Robert Walker Jr.) has an affair with the girlfriend (Sarah Miles) of his condemned brother Sean (Laurence Harvey) while plotting his rescue from prison in Tangier.
Kitty Cameo (with Minor Kitty Carnage Warning!) As part of the plot to free Sean, Dominic needs to phone the prison from the exchange at the place close to the prison where Catherine is staying. So Catherine visits Ramades (Carlos Casaravilla), the man she is renting a room from, and tells him she can’t sleep. Ramades offers to make her some tea. As they make their way to the kitchen he accidentally stands on the tail of his white cat lying in the dark, causing the kitty to squeal in pain and startling Catherine. (It would appear the actor does not put all of his weight on the cat’s tail.)
Ramades scoops up the cat, explaining that it’s “Just Oscar,” and telling Catherine he’s fine.
He carries Oscar with him into the kitchen.
Final Mewsings: Cats don’t stand on ceremony and people shouldn’t stand on cats!
