Monique and the neighbors, including Rufus, do agree that they find the elderly and reclusive new neighbor Eli Cole (Lance Henriksen) a bit creepy.

Things get more suspicious when Rufus disappears. One shot of Cole’s window includes cat screech sounds. Monique shows up at the Bannister’s home in the morning with missing cat posters for Rufus. For some odd reason the photo of Rufus’ shows him wearing a shirt.

For a kid’s show this film has some oddly suggestive humor. Not only were the male Bannister’s ogling Monique’s buxom bosom when she brought the flowers, but George inadvertently points to her behind in a photo with Rufus while explaining to the neighbors what is going on.

Zeus tells Rufus he thought he was a goner. Rufus explains that he was visiting Cole’s dog Medusa (Mayim Bialik) and got lost in the woods. When Zeus talks to Medusa moments later, she explains that Rufus is her sweetheart.
