Synopsis: Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) finds herself squarely placed between the government and the revolution when she finds out that she will be competing once again in The Hunger Games.

Kitty Cameo: Buttercup, Primrose Everdeen’s (Willow Shields) mangy-looking cat has a slightly bigger presence in this film and is this time played by an appropriate orange cat (after a strong request from the book’s author, Suzanne Collins.)  We first see Buttercup sitting on a fountain and scowling at Katniss as she enters the Victors’ Village in District 12.

Later when Effie Trinket (Elizabeth Banks) shows up to pick up Katniss and Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) for the Victors’ tour we see Prim holding Buttercup in the background.

Finally Buttercup is seen in Prim’s arms as she, Katniss and their mother watch the President’s announcement about the 75th Hunger Games.

Final Mewsings: Cats should be properly cast, too.
