Synopsis: A comedic heist film in which an ex-con named Charlie (Michael Caine) takes on an elaborate plan for a gold heist on the streets of Italy, enlisting the aid of several masterminds and three Mini Coopers.

Kitty Cameos: In one scene Charlie and Freddie (Tony Beckley) are looking to enlist computer expert Professor Simon Peach (Benny Hill).  They visit Peach’s sister (Irene Handl) and find out Peach is in a home for unusual perverted behavior.  As they talk to Miss Peach, they each sit with small Persian cats in their laps, a white and a grey one, each wearing a pink ribbon around their necks.

When Miss Peach calls for Annette to serve tea she moves to the door and we see a basket which contains another white cat.

According to producer Michael Deeley on the DVD’s commentary track, Tony Beckley wanted the cats to be in the scene because he absolutely adored them.
