The Harold Lloyd Corporation
Starring: Harold Lloyd, Jobyna Ralston, Walter James
Directed by: Ted Wilde, J.A. Howe
Synopsis: Jim Hickory (Walter James) and his older two sons are the pride of Hickoryville, but the youngest son, Harold (Harold Lloyd) is better at using his brains than his brawn, making him an outcast to his own family. That is until Harold is called upon to save his father from disgrace.
Kitty Cameo: One quick gag happens when Harold walks over to the house of his rival to call upon a girl there. As he approaches the yard a large dog appears. Harold pauses as the dog stops to look at him. It’s clear that Harold has encountered this dog before and knows just what to do. He reaches into his coat and pulls out a small, black cat.
Harold places the small cat on top of a high post just as the dog charges. The cat hangs on to the top of the post and the dog makes a beeline for it, barking furiously, but the cat is just out of his reach. Harold walks by the dog with no problem.
Final Mewsings: Don’t leave home without a cat; you never know when they might come in handy!
