Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains some spoilers for this film!
Synopsis: Attorney Paul held (Frank Morgan) defends his friend, a doctor who has murdered his wife after finding her in the midst of an affair, then realizes he is in a potentially similar situation.
Kitty Cameo: At the beginning of the film, the doctor’s wife Lucy (Gloria Stuart) is approaching the home of her lover. As she is about to enter the home, she turns to see a black cat looking at her from a barred window.
This is the only time the cat is seen, but once inside she tells her lover (Walter Pigeon) about seeing the black cat and he reacts with worry. As it turns out, the murder does take place moments later.
Final Mewsings: Black cats are tired for being blamed for everything that goes wrong.
Many thanks to Ted Davis and Brian H. for letting us know about the cat in this film.
