Directed by: Lothar Mendes & Alexander Korda
Synopsis: The Gods are bored and one decides to grant the power of performing miracles to an unassuming Britishman Mr. George McWhiter Fotheringay (Roland Young). But will the power go to his head?
Cat Burglar (Scene Stealer): Near the beginning of the film when Mr. Fotheringay is starting to realize and test his ability to perform miracles, he produces a cone which he sets upon a table. He commands that a kitten appear and when he lifts the cone a tuxedo kitten has indeed appeared.
Mr. Fotheringay holds up the kitten as if showing it off to an audience.
He sets the kitten on the table. As he turns away the kitten jumps down and hides under the bed. Attempting to pull the kitten from its hiding place, Mr. Fotheringay ends up with scratches on his hand. He then wills the kitten to change into a kitten-shaped pin cushion in retaliation before making it disappear altogether.
Final Mewsings: When the Gods bless you with the power to work miracles, use it well. Conjure a kitten.
