Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains some spoilers for this film!
Synopsis: The Muppets version of Charles Dickens’ classic tale finds Ebenezer Scrooge (Michael Caine) visited by spirits who try to steer him from his greedy, selfish ways.
Muppet Cats: During the song Scrooge, two cats appear in a window to sing a line while eyeing some nearby pigeons somewhat hungrily.
Later these same two cats appear with the pigeons in a line from It Feels Like Christmas in which the Ghost of Christmas Present has filled everyone with love for each other.
An orange and white cat also appears, chasing after Rizzo the Rat when he lands in Scrooge’s past.
The cat continues to chase after Rizzo until the rat ducks into a building with Dickens (Gonzo), closing the door which the cat slams into in cartoon fashion.
Final Mewsings: Even Muppet cats want to enjoy a Merry Christmas!
