Synopsis: A kitten named Ambrose decides to be a robber and leaves home just before bath time.
Cartoon Cats: Ambrose the kitten loves to play the part of a highway robber and not only robs but shoots his toys.
When his mother calls him down for his bath, Ambrose rebels, renaming himself Butch and running away to pursue his life of crime.
Butch declares that he will never have to take a bath before jumping out the window . . . right into a rain barrel!
On the road Butch makes the mistake of trying to rob Dirty Bill, a notorious bandit. When Butch realizes who the bulldog is, he is enamored.
Butch and Dirty Bill sing about never having to take baths.
When asked if he has pulled any jobs lately, Butch makes the mistake of claiming to have robbed a coach.
In reality Butch only had a bag of cookies he took from the cookie jar at home, but try explaining that to a greedy Dirty Bill!
Jumping right out of his clothes, Ambrose drops both his nickname and his desire to rob and runs straight back home, jumping into the washtub.
Final Mewsings: Cats will do almost anything to avoid baths!
