Synopsis: Freddie Haywood (Michael Brooke) is a pre-teen boy living in a poor district of London. He has a crush on the pretty girl Molly Wilson (Belinda Lee) who runs a small store. Molly’s boyfriend Gerry Carter (Ronald Lewis), a member of a gang, steals some jewels and hides them in a record player which Molly then gives to Freddie. Freddie finds the jewels, sees a newspaper article about the robbery, and decides to report the thieves to the police.
Purr Blur: At night, Freddie spots a member of the gang and hides in an alley. A tabby and white cat jumps onto a trash cat right next to Freddie and startles him. The cat then jumps down.
A shadow crosses in front of Freddie’s face just before the cat lands. It would appear that someone offscreen drops the cat onto the top of the can, causing the cat to cast a shadow before being dropped.
Final Mewsings: Cats own the night!
