Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains spoilers for this episode!
Synopsis: Vic (Michael Chiklis) must recover the stolen evidence from a drug bust before Captain Aceveda is able to pin the theft on him.
Cat Cattle Call: During the opening credits we witness Vic and members of the Strike-Team on a nighttime mission to plant unauthorised listening devices in the apartment of suspected Armenian drug dealers. They work to a constant chorus of cat cries from the numerous resident felines who are occasionally picked out by the beam of a flash-light.
Ronnie (David Rees Snell) sneezes, prompting Vic to comment, “Is there anything you’re not allergic to?”
The Armenians arrive back at the apartment causing Vic and Ronnie to make a quick exit. The first Armenian to enter turns on the lights catching a black cat on the stove and a white cat jumping down in the background.
In a later scene we rejoin the Armenians during a drug transaction and again the cats are much in evidence, visually and vocally.
Proceedings are interrupted by Vic and his team bursting in and arresting everyone present, during which the cats are notable by their absence. As Vic and the team secure the scene a single black cat is seen on the sofa peering out from behind a cushion.
Final Mewsings: Maybe the other cats had outstanding arrest warrants?
