The Talk of the Town (1942)

Synopsis: Leopold Dilg (Cary Grant) is accused of arson and murder but escapes from prison before his trial is over, hiding out in the home of Nora Shelley (Jean Arthur) which is rented out to legal expert Professor Michael Lightcap (Ronald Colman).

Purr Blur: After visiting a deli for some borscht, Professor Lightcap is followed by Jan Pulaski (Leonid Kinskey) who suspects the Professor knows the whereabouts of Leopold. A tortoiseshell cat is walking casually in front of the store.
