The Undertaker and His Pals (1966)

Directed by: T.L.P. Swicegood

Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains some spoilers for this film!

Synopsis: A very tongue-in-cheek, low budget horror film in which an undertaker works out a deal with his restaurant friends to murder women for meat, drumming up business for his mortuary.

Kitty Cameo: A secretary named Ann (Sally Frei) is targeted by the killers. When she comes home she is in her living room while the sound of a cat is yowling or screeching outside. The noises are not really like any normal cat sounds. Ann goes outside and calls for her cat Toby. When she spots the cat, he appears to be in full daylight while Ann is outside at night. Most likely the shots of the cat were either stock footage or taken at a completely different time and place. When the killers show up, Toby takes off.

Final Mewsings: If you’re looking for your cat, don’t forget to look in another time and place.
