Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains some spoilers for this film!

Synopsis: Piano player Charlie Kohler (Charles Aznavour) is hiding from his past when his criminal brother shows up asking for help.

Purr Blur: In one scene two criminals, Ernest (Daniel Boulanger) and Momo (Claude Mansard), are driving Charlie’s son Fido (Richard Kanayan) down a dark country road. Dogs can be heard barking outside and then a black cat with white paws runs across the road in front of them.

Many thanks to Furano on Instagram for translating the curse Ernest murmurs as this happens, “Merde, ils sont cons, ces chats,” which she explains means roughly, “Damn, these cats are stupid.”
