Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains some spoilers for this film!

Synopsis: Sniffles the mouse (voiced by Margaret Hill-Talbot) and his friend the silent Bookworm explore the toy floor of a department store, unaware a cat is keeping watch over the premises.

Cartoon Cat: As Sniffles explores the area he comes across a line of stuffed animals, at the end of which is a sleeping blue and white cat.

Sniffles comments on how life-like the cat is, not realizing it is indeed a real cat.

The cat stalks Sniffles, who hides by standing in a line of Porky Pig toys and squeaking like them. In the meantime, Bookworm has finally escaped from the path of a toy train and ends up on the cat’s head.

The cat removes Bookworm and places him into a chemistry kit test tube before going after Sniffles. But the mouse is saved by a runaway wooden duck toy which comes barreling back into the short and scares the cat.

The cat ends up on the train and then crashes into a set of blocks before running away for good.

Final Mewsings: The poor cat was just doing his job!
