Synopsis: While in America to promote a film, director Agnès Varda learned of a previously unknown Uncle named Jean Varda. This short film is a delightful tribute to the man and his artistic lifestyle on a houseboat in Sausalito in the 60’s.

Kitty Cameo: In one scene Jean Varda talks while lying on bed with a black cat beside him.

The cat is also seen wearing an “I Like Uncle Yanco” ribbon on its head.

Final Mewsings: Cats adapt well to artistic lifestyles.
