Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains some spoilers for this film!
Synopsis: A sexually sadistic killer preys on the girls of St. Mary’s Catholic School and the gym teacher at the school. Enrico ‘Henry’ Rosseni (Fabio Testi) quickly becomes the prime suspect. As the killings continue he teams up with his estranged wife Herta (Karin Baal), also a teacher at the school, to track down the real killer.
Cat Burglar (Scene Stealer): Janet Bryant (Pilar Castel), one of the pupils, is at home cuddling her fluffy white kitten when the phone rings.
She answers the call and believes she is talking to the father of one of her school friends, who asks if he can borrow a book for his daughter to aid with her homework.
Janet agrees and the caller says he’ll be there soon to collect it.
Hearing the car pull up, Janet runs out with the book in one hand and the kitten in the other (the poor kitten gets jostled around roughly as she runs).
Reaching the car, Janet realises it isn’t her friend’s father inside, but the man quickly grabs her and bundles her into the car. In the process she drops the kitten to the ground.
As the car speeds off the kitten is left alone on the grass where it starts to emit pitiful cries.
Toward the end of the film, Henry and Herta pay a visit to the Bryant household where they question Janet’s mother. As they talk, the mother cradles the kitten in her arms.
Final Mewsings: Leave the girl, take the kitten!
