Synopsis: The vampires go to a Manhattan night club hoping to form an alliance with a former acquaintance.
Cat Burglar (Scene Stealer): Once at the night club Nandor’s familiar, Guillermo (Harvey Guillén), makes his way to a far back room marked “Familiars.” He enters to find four people and a gray and white cat.
One man steps forward and introduces himself as Colby (Jeremy O. Harris), Familiar of Xanthos the Cruel and Radenka the Brutal. He then introduces the others in turn, pointing to the cat last; Amalta, Mischa, Jameson, Sam.
“Oh, Sam’s a . . . ” Guillermo begins. “Sam’s a familiar,” Colby states.
As Guillermo asks where the bathroom is, Jameson can be seen petting Sam in the background.
Colby points out two buckets and explains, “They gave them to us when they thought we were going to unionize.” Colby is then called to leave by his masters, two young boys who are actually 400 years old. Sam turns to use one of the buckets only to find Sam sitting inside. “Excuse me, Sam,” he says.
Final Mewsings: Cat Familiars would prefer boxes to buckets.
