Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains some spoilers for this film!
Synopsis: As married couple Josh (Ben Stiller) and Cornelia (Naomi Watts) approach middle age they are feeling it even more keenly after meeting young hipster couple Jamie (Adam Driver) and Darby (Amanda Seyfried).
Kitty Cameos: The first time Josh and Cornelia visit Jamie and Darby in their home, Darby enters the room carrying a white kitten.
She hands the kitten to Cornelia who sighs that she would like to have a kitten.
Darby re-enters the scene holding a black kitten. She explains the white kitten is named Good Cop and the black kitten is Bad Cop. “I love these kittens,” Darby explains, then adds, “I hope they don’t grow up to be assholes because that can happen.”
The kittens are seen a few times throughout the scene but don’t turn up again after this.

Final Mewsings: Whether or not they grow up to be assholes, enjoy your kittens while they are young!
