Synopsis: New York police officer Dewey Wilson (Albert Finney) investigates some unusual murders which appear to have been carried out by animals.

Kitty Cameo: Dewey is partnered with criminal psychologist Rebecca Neff (Diane Venora) who lives in a home with her long-haired ginger tabby cat.

In one scene Rebecca hears and a noise and walks through her darkened apartment, ending up on the balcony. Her cat is then catapulted in front of her with a loud poor cat screech in a classic Spring-Loaded Cat moment.

Rebecca picks up the cat and carries it inside.

The cat is only seen once more in bed with Rebecca who is sleeping.
