Synopsis: An Americanized adaptation of Fyodor Dostoevsky’s novel finds law student Robert (George Hamilton) cockily taunting the police after committing a murder.

Purr Blur: In one scene Robert leaves his apartment to grab a neighbor’s newspaper. A cat is sauntering across the walkway in the distance.
