The Perfect Husband (1952)

by Mark Murton

Directed by: Donald Taylor

Synopsis: Truncated version of the 20 minute short What a Husband in which Richard Hearne, in the guise of his popular bumbling comedy character Mr. Pastry, demonstrates the wrong way of going about domestic chores which Gilbert Harding demonstrates the right way.

Purr Blur: After finishing a large pile of washing up, Mr. Pastry carries the dishes across the kitchen to the sideboard on the other side of the room. As he does so a black cat runs in front of him. He manages to keep his balance and stop the dishes from falling, only to accidentally knock them over with his arm after placing them down.
