Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains some spoilers for this film!

Synopsis: The community of Nice nears panic after a silent sniper starts a murder spree by assassinating random citizens, but surly and barely communicative police detective Stephane Carella (Jean-Louis Trintignant) discovers a pattern among the group of victims, which includes recent lover Jocelyne Rocca (Carla Gravina), and which may enable him to capture the killer before he strikes again.

Kitty Cameo: A tabby and white street cat lounging in front of a shop is visible in the background as the killer hides his rifle case in a street cleaner’s push cart.

Without Apparent Motive - tabby and white cat sitting on sidewalk beside garbage push cart

The cat is still in the same position when the street cleaner returns a few moments later to push the cart away.
