Synopsis: Zoya Lowe (Mary-Louise Parker) is diagnosed with a black hole in her chest and only a week to live. Thanks to some mysterious pills, she keeps repeating that same week over and over. Eventually she breaks the cycle to enlist the aid of young research assistant Paula (Ayo Edebiri) hoping together they can solve the mystery of time travel in order to save Zoya from her fate.
Kitty Cameo: Paula owns a brown and white tabby cat who is present when Zoya first shows up at her apartment.

Paula understandably finds Zoya’s story hard to believe, so Zoya repeats the week in order to be able to tell Paula what is going to happen before it does. She correctly predicts the fingers Paula holds behind her back then tells her that her cat is going to meow, which he does.

The cat is shown just one more time, lounging on the floor. The animal coordinator on the film was Animal Crackers.

Final Mewsings: Cats love living their life in a loop: Eat, play, sleep, repeat.
