Synopsis: Daniel Miller (Albert Brooks) dies in a car accident and ends up in a kind of purgatory where his life is judged to determine whether or not he should be reincarnated back to Earth.
Kitty Cameo: While in Judgment City Daniel meets Julia (Meryl Streep), a soul who is farther along in her advancement than he is. In one scene he visits her courtroom and arrives in time to watch a video of her rescuing her adopted children from a fire in their home. She then runs back into the house and returns with the family’s gray and white Persian cat.
It turns out the judges are only watching the footage again because they love it so much, with one judge even asking Julia what kind of cat it was.
Final Mewsings: Anyone who saves a cat automatically advances to the highest level of sainthood in our books!
