Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains some spoilers for this film!
Synopsis: Martha Caldwell (Carroll Baker) has been mute since childhood due to a trauma in which her parents died. Now she seems to be the target of a crazed serial killer who is stalking and killing those around her.
Cat Burglar (Scene Stealer): A little girl named Christina (Rosa M. Rodriguez) is a frequent visitor to Martha. One day she arrives holding a tiny black and white kitten which was given to her by the pharmacist. Christina notes how the kitten’s tail curls at the end.

Moments later the kitten supposedly slips from Christina’s hands and runs toward the garage.

The kitten spies the body of Martha’s sister Jenny (Ida Galli) who had been murdered the night before.

Christina finds the kitten in the garage but does not spot Jenny herself.

Carrying the kitten back to Martha, who is painting a landscape, Christina realizes she has what looks like red paint on her fingers. The kitten is splotched with the substance. Martha recognizes it as blood and hurries to the garage where she discovers Jenny’s body.

Kitty Carnage Warning! A short time later Martha is at the window when she looks down into the yard and spots the lifeless body of the kitten covered in blood. It is possible the kitten, who appears to be sleeping, might have been drugged for this shot.
Final Mewsings: Kittens can’t talk, either, so there was no need to kill him.
