English Title: The Dead Are Alive
Directed by: Armando Crispino
This review contains a severe Kitty Carnage Warning!
Synopsis: Archeologist and photographer Jason Porter (Alex Cord) is implicated in a series of grisly murders near the Italian site where he’s exploring an Etruscan tomb but are the killings actually being committed by a disturbed evil entity?
Cat Burglar (Scene Stealer): Early in the film Jason tells a police inspector, who notices a scratch on the man’s neck, that he loves cats but they don’t like him. Later on while he is sitting in an ancient ampitheater, Jason notices a small tabby and white cat standing beside him.

He picks up the cat and starts stroking the kitty in a strange fashion, saying in an almost sexy voice, “Hello, little cat. Lookin’ for somebody, hmmm? Who you lookin’ for?” (It’s little wonder cats don’t like him!)

The cat walks off Jason’s lap as the man blacks out for a moment. The kitty then arches his or her back and yowls.

Severe Kitty Carnage Warning! When Jason wakes up he moves away from the site and is directed into a nearby building by a Poor Cat Screech. Eventually he finds the small tabby cat dead, having been murdered.
Final Mewsings: What do the Estruscans and Italian horror directors have against cats?
Many thanks to Nick Wale for letting us know about the cat in this film.
